Tienda en línea GOG regala juegos
El pasado 25 de julio de 2014, GOG.com anunció que ya cuenta con títulos compatibles con Linux y para celebrar el suceso, inició una promoción en la que daba descuentos de hasta 75%. Sin embargo, un bug en la tienda digital causó que muchos usuarios consiguieran juegos gratis y, después de que algunos reportaron el problema, la compañía les permitió conservarlos.
En una publicación en los foros del sitio, el usuario yogsloth escribió:
“Oye, GOG, me dieron docenas de juegos gratis y dudo que haya sido a propósito. Digo, si fue un regalo, entonces muchas gracias. Pero sospecho que fue un glitch bizarro y, siendo alguien honesto, siento que debo notificarles.”
En total, la compañía calcula que fueron miles de títulos los que otorgaron de manera gratuita. La tienda corrigió el problema y envió un correo a aquellos que recibieron software debido al bug:
“Hola. Gracias por tu honestidad. Ayer, debido a un pequeño glitch de nuestra parte, tú y un montón de personas suertudas recibieron gratis juegos de la promoción Linux. No te preocupes, está perfectamente bien y puedes conservarlos. No removeremos ninguno de estos títulos de tu cuenta y esperamos que los disfrutes. Claro, si lo prefieres, como algunos de nuestros miembros de la comunidad, podemos removerlos de tu cuenta, sólo contesta este correo.”
Dado que la política de GOG siempre ha sido tratar a sus clientes con respeto, no es de sorprender que la compañía decidiera no castigar a aquellos que aprovecharon el glitch e incluso los recompensara permitiéndoles quedarse con sus productos.
